So, what does an important writer look like?
Is the validity of your voice determined by the contour of your face? The content of your resume?
Does your mirror or camera really know if people can benefit from reading you?
Voices are all around us, but, isn’t it possible that we are one voice short? Or would be, without you?
I love the hope and encouragement in this, which runs so counter to the countless, “Do we really need another?!” messages abundant today.
I was briefly a member of a community whose individuals fretted over how to grow their online reach. My take was that I’d be happy if one person who’d benefit my words found them.

I feel the same way.
I want to build people up when I can. There’s enough tearing down going on out there.

Yup.
First, write for ourselves. The adoring masses will then make their way to us. Or maybe not – but who cares? Write for ourselves, I always say.

Loved this. I know that one of my issues is this need for validation…and approval. I am hoping that as I work on myself, that will not be an issue anymore..and I will join in the voices…knowing that it is a part of the whole.
