let go

there’s pain inside this room, i feel it –
i can’t remember how to try –

and is it really any wonder?
i’ve got no breath for asking why —

and all that’s left to see are shadows –
i see them creeping down the wall –

i recall the golden days –
a kiss beneath the sun’s last rays —

and is it really any problem?
maybe, it’s time to just let go

let go, let go, let go

time to just let go

let go, let go, let go

        1. Because I (the singer) am dying.

          This song started with an idea I read in the book “Hard Times”, where one of the female characters has grown so ill and weak that she knows that there’s pain in the room, but can no longer tell that it is hers.
