“seriF”
(I’ve decided to do the a-to-z challenge by using the last letter of the word rather than the first because… well, just because.)
‘Twas in the tiny flourishes
His artistry shone through;
The subtle lines of emphasis
In everything he’d do
So whether in calligraphy
Or full-blown works of art:
In serif or acrylics, he
Would always show his heart
The artist is the art, they say,
And that is truth itself;
But men and women reach beyond
Their time, or place, or health –
This bit of hagiography
Much poorer than its saint:
Whose every line and serif was
Mixed in with purest taint
For all that fortune ever gave
Was many a false start —
And yet his words and colors show
The glory of
His heart
Heaven is in the moment. and for the artist a moment of magic is heaven. to be able to create with words as you just have must, i hope, have given you a moment of heaven.

I can see it…just…an artist..the little details…how he puts himself in it..no matter what the form. Life is art and we its creators..but unlike it, I do feel that within life, there are definitely things beyond our control.

There are many things beyond our control, but one of the great things about art is that the artist (if she or he is really good) does have control.
